Marja van Putten

Marja van Putten is an artist for about 20 years. She has showed her work regularly and organized many shows with colleage artists. She shares studio Paris with Wim Vonk and Lieve Prins ..a big warehouse where 'the sky has no limit...'
At the side she also has been the assistent for sculptures of Armando for 12 years and has her own webdesign business, ARTTRUST.

About her work she says:
'In my paintings and prints I am searching for unconscious images. I use the properties of paint and digital images to reveal this hidden meaning. I like to find the boundaries of the material and to mix materials that can’t be mixed... I use paint like a sculptor: I am moulding the material to get form out of the material. Outof that process unexpected things popup in many ways. In this way I try to skip my prejudiced thoughts as well in the way I set up a composition and also a meaning/content. There for it makes no difference with what I start. Mostly some forms or symbols out of my personal environment or things that are connected to the actuality. Those associations build up the content of a certain painting and tell me where it is about... In this process a real conversation can start between the painting and me... that’s where I am really interested in. That is what I trust as a source for true images.'
